“Parker Phelps is a Philadelphia-based artist who uses photography, installation, and performance to create immersive experiences exploring domesticity, memory, and love. Using found text and playful compositions, Phelps' visual language creates opportunities for audience members to create their narratives about the work. These recurring visual themes give viewers reference points and signs of human intervention, allowing them to view implied relationships and larger stories. Currently, Phelps is interested in methods of displaying photography that transform the medium closer to painting and sculpture. He has exhibited in Philadelphia, New York, Amherst, and Nashville. Phelps received a BFA in Studio Art with a focus on Intermedia, and a minor in Art History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. “
